Every Life Has a Story. Every Story Deserves a Song.

Long before photos filled our phones and videos captured every occasion, people carried their stories through music. Songs have always marked the moments that matter—celebrating love, honouring family, remembering those we’ve lost, and giving language to emotions that words alone often can’t hold.

Stories in Songs exists for that same reason: to turn real life into something you can carry.

These songs come from lived moments—mine, and the people and places that shaped me. And the reason they matter is simple: when a story is honest enough, it stops being “my story only.” It becomes a mirror. Someone else hears it and thinks, “That’s me. That’s my home. That’s my grief. That’s my prayer. That’s my hope.”

This is music for hope, inspiration, and uplift—songs that help you breathe, belong, and keep going.

More Than Music

A song can be more than a track you play.
It can become a place you return to.

Some seasons don’t need more noise; they need something steady. A chorus you can hold onto. Words that make sense of what you can’t explain. A reminder that God is near, even when life feels heavy.

That’s what I aim for with Stories in Songs: to write lyrics that sound like real life, and to build music that feels warm, grounded, and human—so you can listen again and again and feel something settle inside you.

Why I Do It

Life moves quickly. Birthdays become anniversaries. Children grow up. Families change. Friendships evolve. Loved ones leave us. And sometimes, without warning, we find ourselves carrying more than we know how to carry.

I write because I’ve learned that unspoken weight doesn’t disappear—it just gets heavier in the dark. But when you give it words, it starts to move. When you give it a melody, it becomes something you can walk with. And when you anchor it in faith, it becomes hope you can pass on.

Stories in Songs is my way of preserving what matters—so comfort, courage, gratitude, and peace don’t stay trapped in the mind, but become something you can hear.

Every Story Is Different

No two lives sound the same—so no two Stories in Songs are ever the same.

Not because I’m writing for someone else’s life, but because each song comes from a different real moment: a Karoo road, a quiet kitchen, a late-night worry, a memory that returned without warning, a prayer spoken under your breath, a season where you had to hold on.

I take one lived experience at a time and tell it truthfully—what happened around me, what happened inside me, and where God met me in it. And somehow, that honesty becomes shared ground. People hear it and recognise their own story in it.

My goal is simple: to create songs that feel genuine, authentic, and unmistakably yours—because you can see yourself in them.
